William King
William King was born in February 9,1768 in Scarboro Maine.He went to school until he was 13 then he worked in the Topsham saw mill. He became the largest ship owner in Maine. He owned allot of real estate and was a founder of baths first bank. He was a major general in the war of 1812. He was maines first governor until 1821. He died on June 17,1852.

He also had a connection to KINGfield, Maine :) That is where the supposed time capsule is that has bits and pieces of his life memoirs? He was a big proprietor in that area hence the name. I would have love to hear more in depth about his family and a little bit more about his personal life. also include pics off the web, obviously stating where you goth them :)He seems pretty interesting,.... I wonder why he decided to get into government if he was working on ships? This is a pretty big decision..maybe you could elaborate ?
